CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Good Friday the cast and crew of the play got into character with the annual 'Carrying of the Cross' from Oleander Park to Cole Park.
The 'Sunrise Passion Play' which tells the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus will take place at Cole park on Sunday.
3NEWS spoke with the director Debra Scott-Brown who said her favorite part about putting on the show year after year is the community coming together as one to honor the life of Christ.
"It's just an incredible experience and all the camaraderie and the different people and seeing the people in the audience really being effected by what we're putting out there," Scott-Brown said. "It's just a beautiful story; the greatest story ever told."
The Sunrise Passion Play starts at 7:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
