CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — 3NEWS has learned that bicyclist that was seriously injured early Saturday morning after he was hit by a car at the intersection of McArdle and Mokry has died from his injuries. Nueces County Medical Examiners have identified him as 37-year-old Juan Garcia.
Officers said that the driver, Faith Perez, was intoxicated and she was arrested for intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury. After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Perez was transported to the City Detention Center for booking.
She could now face additional charges, according to officials.
