CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Crossroads Church in Aransas Pass will host a barbecue benefit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for APPD Captain Alvin Luker, who was hit by an SUV while riding his three wheel motorcycle on May 22.
Luker was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered significant injuries including broken bones, internal damage and nerve damage.
Proceeds from the benefit will go directly to support the his family with medical costs.
The Aransas Pass police captain has spent the last several weeks in the hospital before being transferred to a rehab facility in San Antonio.
The accident is still weighing heavily on him and his family as they continue on the long road to recovery.
