City of Beeville at risk for water boil during expected freezing temperatures

Beeville officials are asking residents to ensure that all of their exposed water pipes are insulated over the next few days.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city of Beeville is taking steps to keep city services like water flowing during expected freezing weather.

With everyone turning their water on to keep their pipes from freezing, residents are at risk for a water boil alert, which has happened in the past.

"One individual customer doing that, not a problem," Benson said. "50 percent or more of our customers doing that, at some point that becomes a big problem for the whole system, and it impacts every customer."
