CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Celebration of Life service will be held for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi college student Caleb Harris at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels.

3NEWS has received permission from the Harris family to carry the livestream of the service.

The 21-year-old, who grew up in the Hill Country town, is survived by his parents, Randy and Becky Harris, as well as a younger sister and grandparents.

He was born in Grapevine and is described by friends and family as an avid outdoorsman who loved music and was a devout Christian.

Harris went missing from his off-campus apartment March 4, and after months of searching by family members, classmates and volunteers.

On June 24, human remains were discovered by a city employee inside a wastewater lift station just a street over from Harris' apartment.

The remains were not able to be identified by Nueces County medical examiners and were sent to The University of North Texas for DNA analysis at the Center for Human Identification, the foremost resource for unidentified remains in Texas.

On July 17, Corpus Christi Police Department officials released the Center for Human Identification's findings, identifying the remains as Caleb Harris'.

Digital director Ana Tamez contributed to this story.
