CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The State of Texas Angler’s Rodeo (STAR) fishing tournament is set to reel in some exciting times for anglers who are ready to compete for their share of more than $1,900,000 in prizes including boats, trucks, UTVs and scholarships.
The iconic three-month long competition is part of an annual membership recruitment drive for CCA Texas.
The fishing tournament spans the entire Texas Gulf Coast and offers current CCA Texas members the chance to win over $1,000,000 in prizes and scholarships. The STAR Tournament runs from the Saturday before Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Jay Gardner is a CCA volunteer. He encouraged fishing fanatics to register to participate in this iconic three-month Texas tournament that allows participants to compete at different levels, including kids and teens.
The tournament runs from May 25-Sep. 2.
