CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nueces County commissioners have officially accepted $500,000 from the Port of Corpus Christi for the concession at the new Bob Hall Pier.
The Port pledged that money to the project Tuesday.
Commissioners said Wednesday the other $500,000 will come from county ARPA funds.
It was just last month Judge Connie Scott told commissioner Brent Chesney he could source for $1 million dollars to go toward the third-party concession.
Now, engineers for the project will begin finalizing the design for that third party concessionaire.
Once built, the county parks board will put out bids for owners.
That means the facility could be anything from a restaurant-- or a bar-- or even an island venue.
