CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nearly 700 Del Mar College Vikings part of the class of spring 2024 walked the stage Friday to celebrate their commencement.
The graduates reached that milestone in front of friends and family at the American Bank Center and told 3NEWS that they couldn't have completed their academic journey without their support.
"There was a lot of support from my family and friends and colleagues and everybody," graduate Derrick Rey Garcia said. "They just told me to keep going, don't give up, you're almost there and I'm here."
"My family at home, my husband with great support, my family and friends they all cheered me on," graduate Maria Bazaldua said. "They're here today, so I'm excited."
Congratulations to these graduates on all of their hard work!
