CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's not only election season, but duck season is fast approaching with Saturday marking the season's return.
With that, Texas Parks and Wildlife wants to remind hunters of a few house rules as people prepare.
Game Warden Captain Ben Baker especially warns against what is referred to as "hunter harassment" when it comes to claiming a blind in the water.
"Somebody might be upset that another party got to a blind earlier than them, therefore they sit there and harass that hunter, which is against the law," he said.
Baker said that first come, first served is the name of the game when it comes to securing a blind.
He also reminds anglers that if they are caught retaining any flounder after Nov. 1, they could face fines as much as $500 if caught.
As always, hunt and fish responsibly.
