Family leaning on community support after tragic loss of 4-month-old

A call for help Sunday night, from the family of a baby girl found unresponsive at the Oso Bay Apartments on Friday night.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —

A call for help Sunday night, from the family of a baby girl found unresponsive at the Oso Bay Apartments on Friday night. 

3NEWS was told that she did die at a local hospital. 

Ailani Castro was only 4-months-old.

So far, in this case police have charged the child's father 31-year-old Juan Castro with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury and abandoning and endangering a child.

A family now left to bury their baby girl. 

These are photos provided to us by her grandmother.

We're told they will be working toward raising funds to navigate this difficult time and for services. 

As soon as we learn more as to how the community can get involved, we will let you know on air and online.
