CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A fire started Monday morning at the Sonic Drive-In on Ayers Street will temporarily shut down the fast-food restaurant.
Flames could be observed rising out of the top of the building when the fire broke out around 11:30 a.m.
The blaze took place in the back wall near a storage area, causing significant damage inside and outside of the building.
First responders got the fire under control in about 25 minutes but said it will be a while before the location will reopen, as a health inspector will have to come out.
