Funeral plans announced for Ray High School teen shot on Monitor Street

A visitation and rosary will be held Friday and a Mass is being said on Saturday.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Funeral services for Ray High School teen Andrew Lee Garza Jr. begin Friday.

The visitation for the 15-year-old shot earlier this month will be from 5-9 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 7.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. 

The 16-year-old boy suspected of being involved in Andrew’s death turned himself into the Corpus Christi Police Department officials Feb. 24

The boy's parents were arrested after being accused of helping hide their son from police Feb. 21.
