CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Five people were arrested last Friday after the Nueces County Sheriff's Office executed a raid on the Xcalibur game room ahead of the weekend.
The game room, located at 5202 Ayers Street was shut down. The sheriff's office said they were operating without a Nueces County game room permit, which is required by law for all game rooms operating in the county.
The five people arrested face a range of charges from illegally operating a game room, to having an existing warrant and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
The Nueces County Sheriff's Office said they will continue to enforce all state and local laws across the county. For more information on the game room ordinance, you can click here.
