CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — H-E-B has partnered with South Texas Botanical Gardens to help community members learn about our planet and how we can better take care of it.
This Friday through Sunday, if you bring a single-use plastic bottle or bag you can get into the nature center for free!
This is the second year H-E-B has teamed up with the botanical gardens for the Texas grocery chain's 'Texas Recycles Days,' their statewide recycling effort project.
After practicing the good habit of giving plastic another life, guests can see the wonders of nature themselves become inspired to do more to protect it.
"You can come enjoy a walk on our nature trail, a walk in our orchid observatory, see our animal ambassadors, and again, experience nature, that's what H-E-B is trying to promote, to get people outside," South Texas Botanical Gardens Executive Michael Womak said.
The nature center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
