CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An enrollment event aiming to honor local veterans in our community with exceptional healthcare took place at Corpus Christi's brand new VA Clinic off West Point Road on Thursday.
According to the VA, all veterans exposed to toxins or other hazards while serving our country at home or abroad – including those who served in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other combat zone after 9/11 – are now eligible for VA health care.
Organizers led presentations for how to enroll, answered questions and provided resources for all in attendance.
The event was another step towards giving back to our veterans who put their lives on the line to protect us.
