CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The beloved Hi-Ho Restaurant was honored by Mayor Paulette Guajardo during Tuesday's city council meeting.
"On behalf of Corpus Christi we wish to commend Hi-Ho Restaurant for your unwavering dedication and service," Guajardo said. "Thank you for your contribution and amazing food."
For more than 40 years it's been a fan favorite among residents on Morgan Avenue and Old Brownsville Road.
The restaurant suffered a minor set back last November when a fire on the roof of the building shutdown their kitchen.
The restaurant was re-opened just days later.
Hilary Clinton, George Lopez, and Selena have all stopped to eat there.
