'Indigo Laine & Co.' celebrates ribbon cutting ceremony in Sinton on Friday

The full-scale leather goods company was founded in 2016, and now you can find them inside the Moore's Pharmacy!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — San Patricio County continues to grow and welcome in new businesses to their community and that was on full display in Sinton on Friday with the ribbon cutting ceremony for Indigo Lane & Co

The full-scale leather goods company -- which is proudly women-owned and led -- was founded in 2016 and can now be found inside the Moore's Pharmacy!

3NEWS spoke with the owner, Randi Hamlyn, on what it means to bring a shop like this to Sinton.

"I think handmade is super important, made in America is really important and we've lost that over the years, and I think it's just a thing that we all need to see in our communities that people can make things with their hands and make a living doing it," Hamlyn said.

President and CEO of the Sinton Chamber of Commerce Estevan Guerra said the whole community gets to celebrate when the city grows with new businesses, especially when they are locally-owned.

"It's exciting," he said. "Every time there's an new business in Sinton it's something that just excites us all. I always like to tell people that it's a small town with a big heart, so anytime we have something new in our community it just helps our heart grow a little bit more, so we're excited about that."

Looking ahead to Sept. 21 and 22 the Chamber of Commerce celebrates the return of Fiddler's Fest at the San Patricio County Fairgrounds!
