CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Jessica Garza, accused of murder, had been out on bond when she found herself rearrested during an arraignment hearing Tuesday morning at the Nueces County Courthouse.
Garza is accused in the shooting death of 42-year-old Jonathan Diaz back in October 2023 after a fight broke out on 25th and Ruth street.
She was taken into custody on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges.
Prosecutors with the Nueces County District Attorney's Office added the charge after Garza had been indicted for first degree murder.
She is being held in lieu of $30,000.
