CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — TxDOT began rail work on the JFK Causeway Bridge Wednesday night meaning, there will be some overnight closures over the next two weeks.
Work will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the westbound side of the causeway, where the outside lane will be closed.
One travel lane will remain open for traffic on that side until work is completed.
After that, work will shift to the eastbound side and follow the same closure procedure.
TxDOT officials ask that drivers stay alert and slow down in the work zone.
