CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you are looking for something for your kid to do during the week--there is a Parks and Rec camp in Kingsville.
The camp is celebrating the second week of June with 'Go Green Week' which is giving students the opportunity to learn more about re-using, reducing and recycling---- with a fashion show.
Campers have taken part in trash scavenger hunts, which helped them enjoy taking care of the environment, and even got to learn about how recycling works over at the city's public works recycling center. They had the chance to watch all of the machines work and even got to turn one on themselves before learning about upcycling by making some tambourines out of ‘trash.'
The number to call to see if spots are open is 361-221-8705.
