CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed while he was assaulting a woman in her home, according to the Kingsville Police Department.
Police were called to the 700 block of South 19th Street around 2:22 a.m. Sunday for a disturbance and assault at a home in the neighborhood.
According to KPD officials when first responders arrived they found the 24-year-old, Raul Esebio Garcia Jr., with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
Investigation showed that Garcia was assaulting a woman when he was allegedly stabbed multiple times by 18-year-old Juan Mendez.
Mendez was arrested and charged with murder and other outstanding warrants. He remains in the Kleberg County Jail.
