CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Anyone who’s driven or walked near the American Bank Center may have noticed construction surrounding the building.
The city of Corpus Christi tells 3NEWS these exterior repairs are to fix some landscaping that has deteriorated and caused erosion and flooding.
The city’s director of economic development Arturo Marquez said the difference will be notable.
"It's gonna be a more beautiful place to walk around to take a stroll,” he said. “Äfter the events, you are gonna notice a lot of the changes, especially the ones overlooking the water."
The work is not impacting events happening at the convention center or the auditorium.
