CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation began its project to close several left-turn lanes in the westbound and eastbound lanes of Saratoga Boulevard, between Weber Road and South Staples Street on Wednesday.
The modifications affect the left turn lanes at Senators Drive, Aaron Drive, Sanders Drive and Player Drive, and the left-turn bay west of Staples.
According to officials, the modifications are being put in place to improve visibility for left-turning motorists with modifications to medians.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to slow down in the work zone and watch for workers and equipment.
