CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This past week, a traffic stop led Alice police to confiscate more than 35 pounds of cocaine as part of Operation Stonegarden.
After the traffic stop on Highway 281, police arrested Melissa Guerra Reyes, who was booked into the Jim Wells County Jail.
Alice officers J.D. Elizondo and O.J. Jasso arrested Reyes after they found a hidden compartment under the floorboards of the Jeep she was driving.
They found cocaine which was packaged into 14 bundles.
