CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nueces County Medical Examiners have identified the bicyclist killed Sunday as 24-year-old Jeremiah J. Kerpet-Papoi.

A bicyclist was found dead on Hwy. 358 on Sunday night, causing the interchange to be shut down for several hours, the Corpus Christi Police Department said.
Officers were called out to the scene near 1500 SH. 358 South around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday for a major traffic crash.
Traffic investigators said the bicyclist was riding in the lanes of travel on Hwy. 358 going north in the south bound lanes when he was struck by a vehicle heading south while traveling over Agnes.
The driver remained on scene and police said this is still an active investigation.
