CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Students at Moses Menger Elementary got a chance to show off their bike riding skills and learn all about bike safety at the school's first-ever Bike Rodeo!
Principal Christina Barrera said through a grant received from the nonprofit organization 'All Kids Bike,' the school has been able to get bikes for their students to learn the basics of bike riding.
"Through our P.E. program, our coaches have been able to train the students, how to start off by gliding, which is what you see back here and eventually pedal individually," Barrera said.
She said students have been practicing for six weeks for this showcase! The goal for the event was for parents to see what their children have been working on and learn how they can help improve their child's bike riding skills at home.
