CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A groundbreaking was held Tuesday for a new state-of-the-art automotive facility for Mike Shaw Kia. It is expected to be complete by June 2025.
General Manager Mike Hegney said he's excited for the city to have this facility as well as his employees because they'll be able to service more customers thoroughly with the new space and advancements coming.
"We're excited, not just for the Coastal community but my employees are also excited and I think this will bring a lot of new jobs," Hegney said. "We're going from 11 bays to almost 33 bays, so we're going to hire more technicians, more support staff. So, it's a great thing for Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend Community."
