CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nate's Next Kid Up presented its inaugural Heroes' Day event at the Walmart in Flour Bluff on Saturday.
The event was held to show appreciation to the military, and included vendors, food trucks and games for the little ones.
"My partners -- me, Walmart, Funtrackers -- we just wanted to let the military and veterans be recognized for their service and what they had to do and risk their lives to be on the battlefield every single, like, day," said Nate Gonzalez.
Nate is also asking for donations to help with school supplies and food for his back-to-school drives.
