CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This is the last weekend to take home five spotted sea-trout before Texas Parks and Wildlife changes the limits for the game fish.
Beginning next Tuesday, the daily bag limit will decrease from five per day to just three.
The regulations go into effect across the state and will also see a change in the trout sizes.
The new rules call for a minimum of 15-inches and a maximum limit of 20.
Parks and Wildlife made the change to help sea-trout recovery after several years of below-average spawns.
