CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Cleanup efforts continue on the Island following the mess left behind by Tropical Storm Alberto.
Currently, the Malaquite Campground Boardwalk and Visitor Center Boardwalk, as well as the Yarborough Pass remain closed as of Monday morning. PINS stated that the North Beached reopened at around 10:15 a.m. Monday.
South Beach has reopened to vehicle access.
Crews will continue cleanup efforts near beach entrances with heavy machinery over the next few days.
PINS is asking visitors to use caution when traveling on the beaches in the park and to follow posted speed limits and watch for driving hazards. Strom debris, including large logs are present on area beaches.
