CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — TxDOT will be closing the southbound right lane of I-37 beginning at Exit 17 and the temporary Exit 16 overnight Thursday to open a new exit part of the Nueces River Bridge project.
These closures will start at 9 p.m. Thursday and are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Friday.
Beginning Friday, the new southbound I-37 exit to Sharpsburg Road, Redbird Lane and Labonte Park will open.
This is the next major milestone for the project that began in 2021.
