CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Over 60 nonprofits will benefit from the yearly Coastal Bend Day of Giving fundraiser.
One of those nonprofits is Arms Wide, an organization that helps families with the adoption and foster care process.
Arms Wide provides services that assist with getting homes licensed and ready for foster children, and even permanency support, as they believe that adoption is not the end of the road for those families.
We spoke with one local grandmother who has seen first hand how far Arms Wide stretches to help.
"There's a lot of help for people who are going through this, they have kids they adopted either by themselves or through the state," she said. "I would really recommend for them to get in contact with these people. If they cannot help you they'll find or they will guide you to whatever it is you need for the kids. They are great. They're amazing. They changed my life."

The official "Day of Giving" is on Nov. 12, but if you feel called to donate now, you can! Early giving is open right now until Nov. 11. Just click here!
