CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Giving is just what the Coastal Bend is all about and it's never too soon to start planning for this year's Coastal Bend Day of Giving.
On Thursday, folks from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation came together to begin preparing for the big 24-hour online fundraiser.
This year 63 nonprofits will be looking for your donation.
Three of those groups will be joining the foundation's fundraiser for the first time!
3NEWS spoke with the director of the Day of Giving, Tracy Ramirez, to see what it is all about.
"It is a 24-hour online giving event, for the community to give to their favorite organizations that are participating. And all the funds that are raised, they go towards - to help to continue to provide basic needs services to their clients," said Ramirez.
The all-online annual Day of Giving will be on November 12.
This year, funds will be matched up to 1.5 million dollars.
That means each agency could get up to $24,000 in donations matched.
