SAN PATRICIO COUNTY, Texas — Laila Charlton's future is bright!
The senior student is a winner of the A&H show's Queen's Contest for interview skills and proudly announced her recent acceptance into Rice University when she joined us on First Edition Friday morning.
From participation awards all the way to winning as a Grand Champion, she says the journey is about giving your all, no matter the circumstances.
"The biggest thing is you never know what's gonna happen. You could put all the work in, and once you get into that ring it's up to the judge and that's life," said Charlton.
"When it comes down to it, this teaches you that all you can do up until the moment is put everything you can into it."
