CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Many smiling faces were found at the Casa Real apartments in Alice for a fun and festive Christmas party.
The nonprofit gave out holiday baskets to help those in need, gifting bread, canned goods, and other necessities.
Organizers told 3NEWS the event is about lifting up the community.
"That's one thing that reminds them of when they were younger, the turkey, the ham. It's memory," R.E.A.L. Food Program Manager Savannah Molina said. "They want to keep their memories. Things like that bring great memories back to them."
Molina says this year they gave out over 300 bags to those in need across the Coastal Bend.
