CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The "State of the Industry," in the community of Portland is apparently looking good.
Residents gathered Thursday to learn more on what refineries in the area have in store.
At Thursday's luncheon, residents listened to brief presentations from local plant managers and CEO's from Cheniere, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures and others.
Those in attendance were also invited to ask questions of the industry speakers.
"We really wanna be transparent, all the industries in the area, our goal is to be transparent with our neighbors. We live here too and for us it's an opportunity to talk about what we are doing, why we are doing it and where we are headed as an organization," said president and site manager at Gulf Coast Growth Ventures Paul Fritsch.
Of the topics touched, included what they do, their impact on the Coastal Bend, nationwide and even global.
