CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Editor's note: This story has been updated to reflect that the accident happened Saturday.
On Thursday DPS officials provided an update with a description of the truck that hit Joseph William Pena Saturday night.
The truck is described as being, "light-colored with big lights and bars on the front of it."
DPS officials said the truck will likely have damage on the front right side.

DPS officials have told 3NEWS that the 24-year-old was killed after an argument broke out near Portland on Saturday night.
Troopers responded to the scene just after 10:30 p.m.
When they arrived they found Pena dead on the roadway.
The investigation showed Pena was with his family when an argument started. They pulled over and Pena got out.
As the family continued to argue, Pena walked onto US Highway 181 near County Road 3667 and was hit by a truck.
The driver of the truck did not stop to render aid or call for help.
Anyone with information is urged to call DPS at (361) 364-9007.
