CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new trial date is possible for Sarah Hoss, charged with intoxication manslaughter for a fatal accident in 2022, after her defense attorney said he needs more time while in the 347th District Court on Thursday.
On Oct. 12, 2022, Hoss allegedly drove the wrong way down the SPID Access Road at Waldron and killed 54-year-old motorcyclist Eutimio "Tim" Barrera.
Hoss' defense attorney, Terry Shamsie, has set a meeting with the district attorney's office to try and resolve the case. If this is not successful there will be a new trial date set for late June.
