CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Saturday morning, a truck driven by 54-year-old Misael Lugo of Corpus Christi was traveling northbound on IH-37 near mile marker 31.
While speeding, the rear passenger side experienced a blowout and struck a concrete support pillar.
The truck then rotated several times and caught fire.
It has been confirmed that Lugo died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol Sinton office.
