CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Tuesday marks three months since the mysterious disappearance of Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi student, Caleb Harris.
What began as concern by roommates over where their missing friend might be, has now turned into three months of investigation, speculation and determination to find out what happened to the missing 21-year-old.
By now, most are familiar with the timeline.
Caleb Harris disappeared from his off-campus apartment at The Cottages on Ennis Joslin Road near S. Padre Island Drive sometime during the early-morning hours of Monday, March 4.
Images from that night include a Ring doorbell camera showing Harris and others in the apartment complex parking lot, a snapchat video sent to his sister and a Snapchat photo sent to a high school friend of a small bridge close to the entrance of the complex.
In the days and weeks that followed, volunteer searchers and law enforcement agencies put every resource possible into finding Harris.
A $50,000 reward still stands.
“We believe there is at least one person out there in the community who knows what happened to him, so we’re waiting to hear from that person or somebody that knows that person,” Corpus Christi Assistant Police Chief Todd Green said.
The assistant police chief reiterated that CCPD is still aggressively investigating Caleb’s disappearance, along with state and federal partners.
“There’s a lot of work being done behind the scenes,” he said. “There are a lot of very dedicated professionals who are working every day, long hours, trying to solve this case and find out what happened to Caleb.”
According to Green, that still includes investigative techniques regarding cell phone, computer and digital data.
“Every week we uncover some new information that leads us to ask more questions,” he said . “Every week we learn something new and we feel like every week we’re getting a little closer to solving it.”
In the meantime, a GoFundMe account continues to receive donations to help the family pay for resources they need to bring Caleb home.
If you know something that can help in this investigation, you can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 888-TIPS (8477).
There is also a Caleb Harris tip line, and that number is (361) 826-2950.
