CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —
An investigation is underway into reports of a dog stabbed to death last Friday at a southside apartment complex located off Saratoga and Everhart.
According to witnesses, the dog frequently visited the property until one of the resident’s pets was allegedly threatened by the animal, prompting the resident to end the animal’s life.
CCPD patrol officers responded to the call for service, but Animal Care Services arrived and took over the investigation.
“We are aware 100 percent of the situation,” Interim Program Manager for Animal Care Services Miguel Escobar said. “We’re getting in contact with any and all parties and witnesses in situations like that. If anyone has any additional information or any concerns in correlation to this specific incident, or any animal related incident for that matter, feel free to contact us.”
If you have any information to help this case you can call 3-1-1, visit the ‘My CC 3-1-1’ app or call Animal Care Services directly.
