CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Thursday, the City of Corpus Christi addressed a statewide chlorine supply and delivery issue that is critical to the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant on Leopard Street.
Officials said that there was a delay on a delivery of a 90-ton chlorine rail car with a one-ton cylinder.
The city said the situation comes from several events such as disruption caused by Hurricane Beryl and other logistical challenges with chlorine shipments.
No treatment processes have been affected by the delay.
Corpus Christi Water is keeping a close eye on all shipments and expects back ups to arrive Thursday evening and Friday morning.
