CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Northwest Corpus Christi bar owner Amanda Talbert was in Judge Missy Medary's court on Tuesday where her bond reduction was denied. The 46-year-old's bond remains at $300,000.
Her next hearing will be on Oct. 21.
Talbert was re-arrested Friday on human-trafficking charges.
She now faces four charges of continuous trafficking, in addition to the two counts of indecency with a child that stemmed from a joint investigation between the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Texas Attorney General's Office.
She was arrested on the original charges in April and made a court appearance in May.
She is being represented by former Nueces County District Attorney Mark A. Gonzalez.
Talbert is accused of taking sexual advantage of young girls and grooming them for prostitution along with 80-year-old Noraier George Manassian, who is is charged with sexual assault of a child and solicitation of prostitution for a person under 18 years of age.
Law enforcement said in April they expected to find more victims in the pair's reported scheme to find young women to sexually assault.
