CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas Parks and Wildlife announced that state parks are providing free campsites to evacuees who had to leave their homes because of Beryl.
Near us the only state park open is Lake Corpus Christi, the second would be Goose Island State Park in Rockport but they are temporarily closed.
If you do want to take advantage of this offer, Mustang Island State Park is opening up to the public once again Tuesday at 2 p.m.
A reminder from them right now, "4-by-4" vehicles are the "only ones" that can reach the beach due to soft sand conditions.
