CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The day of giving fundraiser is November 12th, 2024 and we're counting down the weeks by meeting some of the participating nonprofits!
This week's Day of Giving spotlight featured the Children's Coalition of Aransas County.
They're a group out of Aransas County dedicated to providing resources and assistance to children in need.
It began as a post-Hurricane Harvey relief effort but organizers realized they were needed beyond that.
"The poverty rate in our community is higher than average, as is the child abuse rate. There are so many families that are struggling just to make ends meet, and so that's what we're about. Our vision is that we'll have a community in which every child will have a safe, healthy and happy childhood," said Dianne Nielsen Executive Director of the CCAC.
