CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — In honor of our 60th year on-air here at 3NEWS, we want to go old school, vintage if you will, for all the runners here locally and from afar –getting ready to participate in the annual Beach to Bay Marathon.
Imagine the year is 1987.
Shorts are short.
Shirts are short!
Neon is hot and socks are on up high!
Take a look, you might remember some of your favorite on-air talent from the 80's taking part in the run from Padre Island to downtown Corpus Christi.
Sand gave way to pavement. Visors and trucker hats helped stave off the blistering sun.
Water was a plenty and will be this year.
We’re all excited for y’all to be in town.
It makes no difference where you go.
You’re in the best place that we know.
Hello South Texas hello South Texas!
TV-3 welcomes all of you to Beach to Bay!
