CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We saw the community come together Wednesday night for a prayer service honoring a Tuloso - Midway High School freshman Liam Benavides who passed away after a tragic accident.
Thursday night, the high school hosted a vigil for the district and fellow students to mourn the loss of their classmate.
"Even as a Christian, there was a small part of me that was afraid of death, but that fear is gone because I know that when I get to heaven I'll see my boy," his father said.
We offer our continued condolences and prayers for Liam's family and for the other young man who is in critical condition tonight at a San Antonio hospital.
