CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An Alabama resident is in custody Tuesday morning after Kleberg County law enforcement officers and border patrol agents stopped the individual from reportedly attempting to transport six undocumented migrants.
The Kleberg County Sheriff's Office, Texas DPS, Border Patrol and the KC Attorney's Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force participated in the joint effort, which they say is part of an ongoing investigation.
The Kleberg County Attorney's task force said they will continue to assist other area law enforcement agencies to combat smuggling attempts on Texas roadways.
