CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police are investigating after responding to a call that a wife had shot her husband in Flour Bluff.
This happened Friday morning on Samoa Drive near Laguna Shores Road. CCPD officers found a 61-year-old man inside of his home with a gunshot wound, he was immediately taken to the hospital.
His wife was detained at the time and according to CCPD there was no one else inside the home.
Investigators learned that the couple had been arguing which then escalated to the wife shooting her husband.
56-year-old Kelli Owens was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
