CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The YWCA is goin' and glowin' this weekend at their annual 'Glo & Go Nite Fun Run' on Saturday.
The 5K run and 2-mile walk will bring people of all ages together and physical activity levels together for a night of family friendly costumes and glow sticks for a good cause.
Nancy Wesson-Dodd, executive director, CEO and president of the YWCA said their resources are more important now than ever before.
As people come out of pandemic-era loneliness and deal with our current political divisiveness, she wants the organization to remind people about the importance of trusting and connecting with one another.
"Be willing to stand for what you believe in, but we say, you can be edgy without being combative," said Wesson-Dodd. "That's not only true with our mission, but it's true with relationships. We can learn from other people. We don't have to agree with them, but we can listen. "
